2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle 25 cl) My sample at 4,5% ABV. Dark golden with a fairly large head. Rather light in body with a dry hoppiness. Quenching if not overly exciting beer. 300695

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. Clear golden colour, not much head. Maltish nose with hoppy hints. Fruitish malty flavour with ryebreadish notes. Sticky palate. Not that special.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Keg] Red amber color, with a thin persistent collar. Good and easy to drink, because of some dryness and astringency (and a light oak note), but not impressive.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, 5.2%. Malty aroma, with some oxidized notes, cardboard. Not too old, 3 days til BB date. Hazy amber colour. Small, bubbly head. The flavour is fruity and yeasty, slightly sweet aftertaste. Low bitterness, hint of cardboard. Low carbonation.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled (BB 10/2005)
Copper brown, not much head. Strange aroma for a Belgium - rye, barley with some sweetness and ashy notes. Ryeish, malty flavor. Really Märzen-like!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy amber; yeasty, dry maltiness on the nose. Spritzy, slightly cakey malt, allspice, hop dryness. Intended to be consumed alongside mussels, and alongside meules belgiques the yeastiness dropped out of the beer, which to me was an improvement. The mussels improved the beer, but the beer didn't really do anything for the mussels.
