Hazy orange pour with medium off-white head. Nose is weak and malt forward. Notes of Pine, Citrus tempered by a sweeter maltier back. Watery body Bitter finish. Not bad. Would session if it was cheap and widely available. Definitely not the top of the class but pleasant enough

Thank you to my brother Chris for this thoughtful gift. Pours a very hazy golden in color with a medium, lingering white head. The aroma is more on the subtle side. It consists of apricot, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, and light pine. The taste is mildly bitter up front which than extends in some sweetness. Its a bit tangy as well. It is heavier on grapefruit that is balanced with pineapple. There is plenty of floral hops in here, as well as mango and lemon. The aftertaste is a mild grapefruit, but it does last quite awhile. Its light to medium in body, with a somewhat sticky texture, with above average carbonation. This one is different than the typical IPA found here in the US. Its is less intense with hops and is focused more towards the citrus aspects. Enjoyable. I think the artwork on these Japanese cans is pretty cool also.

Found this for relatively cheap in my local grocery store, was pleasantly surprised at the refreshing bitterness from a can beer.

Pours amber with a large white head which disappears quite quickly. Pine, citrus and fruits in aroma. Medium carbonation - so easy to drink. Nice bitter aftertaste.

Can (sampled in Kyoto)
Hazy orange color, medium-sized white head. Gooseberries, overriped mango in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of gooseberry bushes in the flavor, nice piney-fruityness. Lingering piney bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice strong ipa from can.

Can from Tallinna Kaubamaja food department. BB was due in June which explains the € 1,60 price tag (I think I did buy it on the last day of June). Pours a clear, light amber with huge, frothy, white head - retains nicely, good lacing. Aroma is a pungent mix of citrusy and resinous, floral, and slightly biscuity (is that Simcoe in there?). Taste... well, it’s a (grapefruit seed) bitter hop bomb. Also a bit biscuity and yeasty. Light to medium body. Soft to medium carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Stong, long lasting bitter finish, slightly spicy. Pretty good!
