330ml can. Vibrant bright orange colour with a bit of haziness. Deep dirty white head. Loads of citrus hop aromas that are very nice, as is the flavour and the long lasting hop aftertaste. A great Japanese beer.

330mL can. Pours cloudy copper with an amazing tropical fruit aroma, mango specifically. Lots of tropical fruits in the flavour also with a nice mild bitterness. Very nice beer.

Pours amber with a small, fading head. Nose shows sweet caramel and soft pine. Somewhat faint. Restrained flavours, with a bit of grapefruit hops and some sweet bready malt followed by an assertive bitterness. Could use more carbonation. Not overly complex but enjoyable nonetheless.

Can. Slightly hazy gold with a loosish white head. Mild aroma is fruity and dusty, with apricots, peaches, pears and oranges. Not a lot of hops in the aroma but there’s plenty of bitterness under the fairly sweet fruit. The fruit is almost syrupy. Spices and some citrus at the intensely bitter finish. What came before doesn’t really support the finish.

Dough, citrus, grain, light sugar, floral notes on the nose. Pours golden, nice creamy head and lace. Flavors of doughy malt, light residual sugar, pale malt, citrus, floral notes, and a little dank. Balanced, nice smooth mouthfeel.

Can. Pours a clear orange gold with an off-white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grassy hops with a hint of citrus and a pretty strong sweet grain and cookie backbone. Flavor has light citrus and a hint of flora and grass with a good amount of sweet grain in the finish.

As an IPA this is below average but it’s good to see a decent beer from Japan. Light aromas of pineapple and citrus as well as light flavors of citrus. Slight bitterness.

Pours a cloudy dark golden color with a small head. Seems to have some citrusy notes to the smell. Not a lot of hoppiness to the beer itself, though.

Can: Go Yo-Ho! all the way from Nagano to San Diego and better than some of the locally brewed IPAs!
