3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the can.
L: a pale copper with a nice finger of head, decent lacing.
S: a good whiff of pine, resin, some underlying grapefruit.
T: a bitter pine start that lingers throughout, or even gains momentum, a bready malt and touch of citrus.
F: nice carbonation on the tongue, maybe a bit cloying with the bitter hops, slightly oily.
O: a little unbalanced but flavourful IPA. A killer choice for this price range in Japan, and solidly consistent these days.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured out of the can a rich amber gold. 14°SRM
Pine in the nose. Grass.
Light palate. Lightly sweet malts with biscuit and cotton candy flavors. Herbaceous finish with a lemon peel bright bitterness that is the perfect thing for happy-making in hophead land.
Goes on favorites list.

#ONI... WHAT can I say!!?? If there was ever a metaphor for life in Japan....this is it! Cant lie... this beer definitely gets props. It has done alot. Aaaaaaaand even though it may be as inconsistent as sex with your Japanese wife... it is always there...pretty much anywhere... and on the cheap. I have had GREAT ones...I have had SHIT ones... buuuuuuut I always come back. S&M in a can. They have changed the recipe more times than Ive changed my mind about going back home buuuuuuuut #wgaf Drink it. Love it. Love life. Drink it. Hate it. Rage. Repeat. Overall Rating: ALL DAY!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
canned, park bench session with mowbeer. decent grapefruit aroma, lightly honeyed; plenty of honeyed sweetness and caramel, somewhat subdued citric character, perhaps not the freshest but enough lingering bitterness to balance it out okay

Aroma is fruit, tea , mild sweetness and slight funk. The flavor is fruit, hops, malts, rice funk and a bitter/dry/slightly tangy finish.

Solid IPA from Yoho Brewing in Japan (perhaps only bested in Japan by Suruga Bay!) Pours a dark cloudy golden colour. Medium head that lingers. Light to medium bitterness. Banana creamy and the normal citrus. Very palatable and easy to drink. Not a blow-your-head-off IPA - which is nice. And I’m going to say it - I *like* that it’s in a can. Not many good IPA’s in cans and they are easier to transport, take in your kayak, take in your backpack while hiking... yup.
