Just found this gem in my trip to Tokyo today. Nice color, deep gold, light amber with a foamy off-white head. Toasty malts and grapefruit in the nose. A sweet cookie dough malt with piney hops, nice! Smooth feel, not too much carbonation, for a Japanese made canned beer, this is quite good!

Had this at Max and Jess’s housewarming, can brought back from RBSG courtesy of KyotoLefty. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Honey and citrus, caramel. Crisp honey and citrus. Earthy grapefruit and malt on the end.

In a can. ’Blue Devil’. Not-so-American pale ale. Maybe a Japanese take on the American version of British pale ale for India. Is IPA about to circumnavigate? Are those Goldings hops? Needs a bit more work to be as good as Yona Yona.

Thanks to jdubFL for this treat. The can pours deep gold with copper hues and white head. The aroma is sweet with malts, sweet rose pedals and berry like fruitiness followed by faint roasted maltiness. The taste is spicy hops with mild flavor hops in the background as well as echoes of pine hops and citrus. There’s a thin strata of malty to faintly roasty malts deep in the background.

Can at Beerwarming Party. Pours a mostly clear gold with a medium, white head. Sweet, citrus hop aroma with some malts. Sweet flavor, too, with light honey and fruity hops. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes rather bitter with light earth and grass. Not bad.

Can from KyotoLefty. Kind of slimy aroma, UK hops, caramel. Odd, maybe too old. Crispy lettuce flavor, dandelion, rather bitter. Some wormwood. Not the best.

Cheers to jdubfl for sharing this can. golden color, white head. aroma and flavors, sweet and malty with underlying bitter citrus hop profile. Tasty beer but found it to be a tad too sweet and on the malt side for an IPA.

Tampa crew rocks it. Can. Apricot/gold pour. White head. Simple hoppy aroma with a fair malt bill. Flavor is simple and straight forward. Easy drinking with the light herbal and citrus hops.

Light orange colored, huge yellow head. Citrus-flowery hopped aroma with thin pine, good ipa aroma for me. Medium bodied. Flavor is more fruity in start, lemon also here. Aftertaste dries with pine and flowers, grassy note lasts.
