Can, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. A lightly unclear one, golden in color and with a small white head. Orange notes, pale malts and some spiced hints in the aroma, quite pleasant. The flavor is quite balanced, a pleasant bitterness dealing with the malts. Orange notes and a touch of coriander and some other spice as well. Medium body, nice carbonation, quite dryish. A refreshing and easy drinkable witbier. 140823

Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, wheat, coriander and orange. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Thanks again to Chris for this very nice gift. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. The aroma consists of spices, banana, wheat, watermelon, and light orange. The taste begins with herbal hops and banana, extending into spices, wheat, and a heavier lemon flavor. Some slight bubblegum in here as well. Aftertaste is a mild lemon which lingers on your palate for a bit. Medium in body as well as in texture, with some fizzy carbonation. This one isn’t bad, although its quite the novelty in my part of the world.

Can. Nice looking beer, that is clear and well carbonated. The nose has some nice watermelon, raspberry, and bready notes, after a couple sips some more herbal or floral notes show up. This beer is surprisingly sweet with some light dryness in the finish. Very clean and refreshing. I had this with some fresh bread and some funky/bitter cheese on fresh bread and the combo of everything was probably the best meal I’ve had all summer.

Nice orange notes, kind of a perfect chill, low-key relaxing time drink. Totally bought it for the name, though.

Clear golden color, good white head. Wheaty, perfumic aroma. Light-bodied. Light-bodied. Nice sweet banana, wheat, pepper, orange peels and coriander. Light and refreshing. Harmless witbier which should be better when not filtered.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a weizen glass. Pours slightly hazy paler golden. Aroma is estery grain, medium body, soft texture, low carbonation, and thin very small bubble lacing. Taste is estery wheat and some coriander

Can from Tallinna Kaubamaja food department. BB was due in June which explains the € 1,60 price tag (I think I did buy it on the last day of June). I have to say I really love the quirky styling. Not sure if it’s quirky by Japanese standards but anyway. Pours a pale, only slightly hazy gold with a white head. Nose is (damp) wheaty, dried apples and cinnamon, and a biiiit chemical. A hint of vanilla and banana, too. Taste is grainy, sweet and somewhat sour, with hints of banana and clove as usual suspects. Light body, average to lively carbonation, dry, grainy mouthfeel. Overall a bit too watery and faint. Not had too many wits but it must be among the weakest I’ve tried.
