Tokyo Black is the second brand at YoHo. A robust porter, well balanced between the malt and the hops. The complex chocolate and roast flavours of dark specialty malts are combined with a floral and slightly spiciness from Perle hops.

On tap at Ant n Bee, August 2013. Almost black with a small, creamy tan head. Aroma and taste of light roasted malt, some chocolate and caramel. The finish was dry and medium bitter. Descent stuff.

Shared with DrSilverworm. Pours inky dark brown with mocha head. .75cm. recedes slowly into lace. Smells roasty. Charred. Almost smoky. Loads of coffee. Deep-ass shit. Smells good. Slick and smooth. Medium body. Coffee flavor. A little dark fruit. Niiiiice. Touch of dark chocolate. "Roasty, almost smokey" keeps coming back to mind. This is tasty. Lighter carbonation than I was expecting. Creamy.

Can from Aeon mall near Narita airport. This looks promising: black pour with a big milk, chocolate head. The aroma reminds me of slightly sweetened coffee with milk; also some nice roasted malt. The flavor is a bit of a letdown though. Really kinda thin and bland. Fine overall.

Can. Black with a tan head that never quite gives up. Floral aroma with roasted malt, chocolate, molasses. Gently mouthfilling with little sweetness and a dry but barely bitter finish. Chocolate, mild roast, dark sugars, floral notes. Insubstantial but rather elegant.

At just on cool and into a stumpy tulip. Black, brilliant and with ruby highlights showing showing in the very shallows. Capped off by a dense, tannish crown that holds but manages little lace. Light caramel, smoke, Belgian waffles fresh toasted and topsoil make up the interesting waft that tickles the nostrils. Medium light in body, creamy and subtle overall on the palate with a prevalent malty, smoky, charred wood flavour. Good hit of dark chocolate and vanillin. Finish is ashen with a supple, caramel sweetness that lingers. Lacks depth but arguably a very easy drinking Porter. Like it, but it is a little forgettable.
