COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tokyo Black is the second brand at YoHo. A robust porter, well balanced between the malt and the hops. The complex chocolate and roast flavours of dark specialty malts are combined with a floral and slightly spiciness from Perle hops.

Vad i hela friden är det som händer. Porter...från Japan...i Sverige. Man tar sig för pannan och tar gärna ännu en bara de inte vore så förbannat sällsynta.

Nocturne (1040) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2015
Cask at Bakushu Club Popeye, Tokyo. Solid black. Tan head and lace. Light malty aroma. Taste is fat maltiness, sugary molasses. Decent porter but not really enough depth to satisfy. Also had high hopes for it being cask but the cask treatment didn’t seem to help it much.

330ml can from Masuyo’s in Tokyo. Poured into a shaker half pint. Jet black with a modest tan head. Burnt malt, leather and coffee aroma. Burnt coffee, soy sauce and malt on the palate with a hint of dark fruit and star anise. Dry but quick finish. Fairly well-balanced. Not a bad porter.
