Very hazy ruby and peach tinted copper coloured body with a nice, creamy one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, nice light hops, some bubble gum notes and a hint of yeast. Medium-bodied; Assertive earthy and caramel flavoured malt with some lighter but noticeable citrus and grapefruity hops and a pungent sweet and full-bodied finish. Aftertaste is relatively mild with only a bit of the malt and hops coming out, but not bitter or assertive in any way at all. Overall, a nice and relatively surprising beer - nice and flavourful without being too complex and long-lasting. Good to sample, albeit the high price. I sampled this 350 mL can (Hawaii/Japanese style, obviously) purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 09-June-2012 for US$4.00 sampled at home in Washington on 18-February-2013.

Thanks again to Chris for this one. Pours a bright, slightly hazy golden with a short lived white head. Fruity aroma has pineapple, orange, pear, and melon. The taste contains much of the impressions given by the aroma. However, there is a bitter grainy taste that is quite potent in here as well. It begins fruity, and than gradually is replaced with the graininess that extends into the aftertaste. More light in body with a slick texture. Kind of refreshing actually. Pretty good. Much better than your standard Japanese beer.

Nice and lemony APA from Japan. Clear and orange. A bit of a mineral note in the nose and citric hops abound. Dry, crisp and very drinkable. Real nice take on the style.

Can, 9C. Orangeish amber with a white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of apricots, orange blossoms and kumquats.Medium bodied. Sweetish with a touch of caramel under apricot and some tropical fruit. Citrus flavours less prominent than suggested by the aroma. Balancing bitterness builds a little. Pleasant quaffer as promised.

Can. Pours a medium gold, slight head fades quickly to a slight ring. Aroma is interesting - dried pineapple, earth notes, light caramel. Flavor is initially candy citrus, then moves into an earthy and caramel body. Very faint, slight whisper of something almost peaty or smoky at the very end. Interesting. Didn’t love it, but interesting. Would like to know what they hopped this with.
