3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can brought over from Japan thanks to Koji, thanks man! Pours a bright apricot color with a thick white head. The aroma is nice; lots of fresh hops, light caramel and a touch of fruit. The flavor is crisp, clean and tasty; lots of citrus hops, lightly bitter, a lighter aspect of caramel malts and a tangy bitter finish. Quite refreshing and very tasty. This one surprised me a bit- very nice.

Body is clear orange to copper.Head is small and little begie. Aroma brings lots of rich hops and grape.
Flavor follows in the same good way. Rich hop. Leaves a pleasent bitternes.
Palate is smooth.
like the good balance between the sweetnes and bitternes in this one.

Wonderful amber, slighlty hazy. It’s a dead ringer for an American pale ale, wel done an executed. Well balanced, moderate weight on the mouthfeel, and moderate hoppiness. Not extremely exciting, yet very satisfying and quenchable....

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2009 Canned. Clear pale amber, small head. Interesting floral, minty lychee/tangerine aroma. Dryish and crisp, freshly hoppy and fairly light bodied with good late bitterness.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2009 Great stuff! Slight off white head that leavs nice lacing, boasts a deep amber body that is just begging to be imbibed. The aroma is perhaps my favourite part, caramel, fruity, some banana and spices too methinks. Tastes of caramel, light fruits, burnt sugar, some banana and a bit of cinnamon and other spices. Taste lasts straight though. Nice creamy end to the palate. Ive given it a big overall score because as others have said, if you live in Japan this is an excellently priced beer and is a bit easier to find when you dont live in main cities. Convienent, cheap, but very very solid as well.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2009 Can version.
****One thing that should be said, though it might not matter much to all you cats drinking this overseas, but this beer in the can is the best value in Japan. It costs pennies more than standard p*ss in a land where micros cost huge bucks, and really kicks it in. If you see it here, but and drink lots of it****
Big cascade hops, very, very fruity, good caramel malt. Exquisite balance. Good from start to finish. Also I must add that it is better from the cask, especially the oak cask if you are lucky enough to get it. Hold on for those ratings down the road.
