Cask at Popeye Tokyo (rated Apr 2008). Head is mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie, caramel), moderately hoppy (orange, apricot), with a note of cantaloupe. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Lovely fruity aroma, nice appearance and mouthfeel...all around a very pleasant beer at least in cask form (haven’t had it from can).

Canned. Pours an ambered gold. Very floral hoppy smell. Similar taste. Quite a bit of ginger. Very japanese.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 From tap at Barley in Kobe. Orange amber colour with a bit white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity, orange, tangerine and a hint of biscuit malt. Taste is also fruity, but with a bit of caramel sweetness too and quite creamy. Very smooth in the mouth, nice texture, slightly oily. As you get down the glass the fruitiness fades slightly and you start to get a bit of funkiness in the aroma and maltiness increases. Had again this evening and was surprised how nice it was for a easily available cheap beer. Will definitely have again.

350mL can. My 3rd Yo-Ho. Hazy orange pour, thin white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts; and American hops, citrus. Tastes of honey malt and mixed berry flavor. Hop has a herbal note, mild bitterness. Perfectly balanced. Nice sweetness of the malt; crisp and refreshing hop bitterness lightly lingers on the palate. Overall, this is another outstanding beer from this Japan brewery. Again impressed with the quality.
I wish I could read what the back of the can had on it.

Wow. I just got this at whole foods. This is a really great brew. I never thought Japanese craft beer was this good. Canned, no doubt. A: Golden orange with a thing head, fine bubbles. S: Smell is actually rather boring.Thin whisps of orange/citrus malt. T: Its like light liquid bread with a light hops and a ultra light bitter. Very good balance of malt and hops. Utterly pleasant. M: Really good. Its creamy, light, smooth, slight carbonation. Veery good. M: Creamy, smooth, nice amount of carbonation--excellent. I need to find a way to buy cases of this stuff. Serving type: can

Can. Poured with an airy but big head of white foam, topping off a crystal clear amber beauty. There’s a slightly fruity aroma and indeed the beer drinks with an almost citrusy appeal, topped off with a little funky finish. Quite enjoyable. (#4352, 11/6/2011)

330 can. Pours a hazy medium golden amber with a loose white head that doesn’t stick around for very long. Tangy tangerine nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Mid-palate shows tangerine, caramel, and a bit of biscuit. Mild tangerine finish. Nice beer for sure.

Can from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours light copper with a creamy near-white head. Med body. Flavor is a little peachy/citrus. Mildly fruity, mildly bitter. Pleasant. Not so malty as might be expected. Good thing, that.

Can - Clear amber colour. Fruity and Malt aroma with some synthetic taste. Some Floral smells. Fruity taste with a stron citrus finish. Some of it feels like industrual strength cleaner. Hop taste is bitter. I didn’t really like it.
