On tap @ the Abbot Choice Tokyo. Bel colore dorato, non limpida, con una discreta carbonatazione apparente. Schiuma compatta, non troppo fine, e non molto persistente. Profumo di luppolato erbaceo, di cereale integrale e qualche nota di resina(aghi di pino??). Gusto in linea coi profumi, ma la luppolatura è meno intensa di quello che ci si aspetterebbe. Beverina

Can from Ales and Lagers, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is weak malt and hops. The flavour is high medium bitter, hoppy, with some malt on the palate and some lingering bitterness in the finish. It was fine to drink, but I don’t like is as much as some of my fellow raters.

Can shared at Dean’s scared of beer tasting. Pours clear golden with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, citrus, light floral. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Can. Clear yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of fruity straw. Taste is dilute straw, hay, lemon.

12oz can pours a translucent orange with some thin, lacing white head. Aroma is incredibly fruity and attractive, lychee, passion fruit, honey, malt, deeply floral, star fruit. Flavor gets back more towards the traditional pale ale, there’s still plenty of fruit, Bosch pear, lychee, some citrus, passion fruit, orange, honey, malt, slightly metallic. Medium bodied, sweet finish but not at all cloying. Very unique and highly enjoyable.

Draught at Griffon Shinjuku. Clear orange colour with a thick medium-sized white head. Fresh sour grapefruit aroma. Flavour of caramel, malt, citrus with some bitterness.

Can. Nice hoppy nose, some caramel and fruit. Not a bad palate, but obviously much better from the tap, although I’d heard the brewery put some effort into canning the beer as carefully as possible. Solid medium body, average carbonation, pleasant finish. Still a goer.
