t_yasu (8), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA does not count Oct 30, 2004 Excellent citrus aroma of American cascade hop. Apprearance is clear pale orange. Fantastic flavor with fine hop and malt. Very sweet and light body like a soft drink. Thank you very much for wonderful time with Yona yona Ale in exactly every night! harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 8, 2007 Cask gravity at GBBF 07. Really, really lovely hop. One of my favourite beers of the first day. Really drinkable. I thought it had great malt hop balance. Drinkable to the extreme, apparently, or so my notes say. rapkungen (19), USA Nov 27, 2002 This is my favorite of all Japanese beers. A very refreshing taste, crisp, with a unique "pine" aroma to it. TimE (1023), Tokyo, Japan Nov 16, 2003 A lovely light amber color, opens up to a bouquet of critusy hops (cascade) and caramel malt. The body shows a good mingling of hops and malt and as the beer warms up apples, oranges and sherry provide the back bone that mixes in with sweet caramel malty overtones. Finishes dry like a good brute. Very refined. However, I think Mr. Ishii took some recipes with him from Stone. Malt profile quiet similar to Stone AB. This could easily pass for a Stone pale ale IMO. A definete must if visting Japan. yoshida (3), Eugene, Oregon, USA does not count Feb 20, 2003 I second Rapkungen. The best ale in Japan in my opinion. Smooth and good aroma.
