3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Gravity, Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Warm copper, small but persistent clean white layer of head. Fresh grapefruit and honey aroma, just a little distracting blackberry/belltone, but a very minor thing. Fresh light hoppy fruitiness, fine textured spicy carbonation, nice gentle warm toast finish. Really impressive beer at 3.6%. (Would still be a good beer at 2x the strength.)

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Cask in York, standard blonde bitter pour, bitter finish, a little on the think side. Just about average for a bitter not much or any interest here.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Blast of floral hops, almost like a fruity white wine, in the nose; white grape plus caramel--FRESH. Almost clear straw with no foam. Crisp and fruity in balance with a nice bitterness but a bit weak in the malt with surprisingly low hops flavour. Light body, low carbonation, clean yet weak.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at the Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham. A very good session beer with a light fruity aroma and a citrus and grassy flavour. Excellent as the first beer of the night but could fall flat against more flavourful ones.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at the Yorkshire Terrier, York. This is just the kind of blond ale I like, and I especially like it when a beer this tasty has an ABV this low. It has a slightly hazy pale gold almost yellow colour, a fruity aroma with lots of citrus and the flavour is grassy with more citrus fruit. Very enjoyable.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Crown and Kettle.
Pale gold with a decent white head and lots of lace. Vaguely hoppy aroma with HEAVY citrus. Citric fest continues into the flavour. itís possibly a little too much. Tastes almost like it has had lemon added. Tea like malt flavour intially but thankfully itís short lived leading to a nice floral finish.
