Cask as "Foley’s Celebration" at Mr Foley’s Alehouse in Leeds. Dark brown with a grainy toasted malt aroma. Chocolately malty flavour on a balanced palate.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark amber with a small white head. Barnyardy straw taste, followed by a beautiful sweet maltiness with a distinct and slightly sour fruitiness. A pleasant mid bitter finish. Mixed opinions on this beer. I see where the criticism is coming from, but I thought the overall effect was excellent.

Fukito (735) - Sao Paulo, BRAZIL - DEC 26, 2007
Cask @ York Brewery, november 07. Clear, very dark copper color with some orange hues and a medium white head. Roasted peanuts with some caramel notes flavor and a dry mineral finnish. Medium to light palate, coating flavor with mineral notes. Warming, dry finnish. Nice cross between toffee and roasted peanuts on the nose. Quite good mild.

Cask dispense @ Freshfield Hotel, Formby 2006 Beer Festival. Beer of the festival ( out of 25) for me. Fullbodied, dark appearance, with sweetness and bitterness well balanced. Very much in the ESB mold and well suited to cold winter evenings in front of the roaring pub fire(s). Another winner from a fine brewery.

A little interesting, it was dark, and a little sweet in aroma, very hopy but different in that smelling.

Cask at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Dark brown to chestnut colour with a steady, creamy white head. Very smooth and drinkable, but I found this lacking in bitterness. Dominated by malt, a bit unbalanced. Quite enjoyed it though.

Cask handpull at Folkestone Wetherspoons. Chestnut colour with bubbly beige head. Perfumed hop nose, followed by attack of milk chocolate malt. Finish has good bitterness to it. Unfortunately the aroma doesn’t go with the malt at all, and is completely off balance. This nice perfumed nose and then chocolate. No I don’t think so. Well presented but just doesn’t work
