2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dark, hazy, amber ale, with low carbonation, and a medium, white head. Light-medium-bodied, and a bit watery. Dominated by lemon, spicy hops, and alcohol, with some notes of peach and soap. Underlying bread malts, and a lingering bitterness. Overall, very sharp and astringent - not an enjoyable brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted by half pint at the Wenlock Arms (05/01/06). It pours a clear, amber to tawny hue, with very thin white cap. The smell is mildly toffeeish, backed by a firm body of earthy and lightly floral hops (Goldings like), with a citrussy twist. Fruitiness-dominated palate, with a little bit of chewy fruits and a residual toffeeish flavour treading lightly on the top; gradually an immensely tea-leafy bitterness prevails and lingers, added by a tangy touch to accompany another faint tinge of bitter-sour fruits in the aftertaste. Soft on the mouthfeel and very light-bodied for its alc. strength. A good honest ale from this newly-established micro-brewery.
