COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer harks back to the classic English style IPAs. Hefty malt backing meets truck loads of hop flowers added to all stages of the process. The all Australian hop flavour is not aggressive in its bitterness, but is evident in flavour and aroma and slowly asserts itself with a lengthy, lingering and throughly enjoyable palette.

Can from Beer Cartel (April 2015). Dark amber, 2cm cream head, strong malt and earthy hop aromas, mango, tropical fruit, toffee/caramel, medium body, thick texture, sweet, earthy finish. Very nice.

Can (curiously from WA - looks like they have a presence there too). Amber with an inch of off-white head. aroma of bread crusts, peach, flowers, mango and other ripe tropical fruit. Sweet with toffee and bread but the stone and tropical fruit don’t disappear at all, and there’s a lightening orange, pepper and floral note that comes through towards the moderately bitter finish. A very satisfying drop - rather ESB-like with deft Australian hop accents.

With malty caramel, toffee and citrusy hop aromas, the Young Henry’s Hop Ale pours with a nice Amber colour. However, the finish is thick and long which spoils it for me a bit. Overall though a good beer.

Amber in colour with a thick and long lasting off white head. Smells quite sweet, toffee and stone fruit with a very faint pine scent in the background. This is way more malt driven than i expected, the toffee aroma presents well in the taste also, with pine and grassy hop flavours balancing the malt. It doesn’t taste bad but something in the balance is a little off and there seems to be a lingering perfume aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thick enough and adequately carbonated but the aftertaste almost spoils any of the pleasent mouthfeel post drinking.

On tap at The Grain Store. This stuff is delicious, I could drink a whole lot of it. Just what I want in a beer.

From a can. Pours deep amber with a thin tan head. Aroma is resin, earthy, citrus and a bit of grass. Body is medium with low carbonation. Taste has a heavy malt back bone. Lots of caramel, honey and dried nuts accompanied by resinous and citrus hops. Nice beer

Pours copper with a large head. Malty aroma, lots of caramel and resinous hops with a hint of booze. Very sweet-smelling. Sweet flavours too, heaps of caramel, some piny and resinous hops.

On a hand pump at Keg and Brew Surry Hills. It pours a hazy amber/orange colour with a thin, white head. It is low on carbonation as could be expected. The aroma is of malt and oranges. It has a complex taste of malt and mild bitterness from the hops that only slightly registers on the palate. An average beer, but nothing special.

Can from the brewery. had this on day one so super fresh. It isn’t a bad beer by any shout. Reminds me of Creatures IPA with it’s distinct sweetness which is more a citric fruit sweetness. Fairly juicy and mildly zesty. Very fruit driven and I like it. Solid stuff

On tap at Scratch Bar August 2013. Good beer with golden amber colour. Not overly hoppy and not too boozy which is sometimes a good thing.
