0.5L can. Deep red color, small amount of tan head. Burnt sugar nose, honey, biscuits, hint of metal. And then on to the taste: Sweet, sweet, ultra sweet. Not easy to pick out the flavors, but tiny hints of spice and metal are coming through the massive wall of sugar. Watery, thin mouthfeel, low carbonation. Probably one of the worst beers Iíve tried.

Brown pour with off white head and lace. Almost no aroma. Flavor of coca cola and some other spice. Light bodied and sweet. not really like a beer

Bottle from supermarket. Brown color, beige head. Sweet taste with chocolate, sugar, malts. Sweet finish with sugar and chocolate. Pretty awful stuff.

Can. Wow this is awful stuff. Like how do you make and sell a beer this bad and sleep at night. Who keeps buying this stuff?

Black colour with a beige head. Sweet malty aroma. Light body. Oh yeah this is sweet stout. Heavy sugar sweetness. No bitterness at all. Rich sugary sweet malty flavour with some vanilla. Actually a waterish texture.

Dark toffee colored pour. Small layer of tan bubbles. Not much of a head. No lacing. Slight caramel and molasses aroma. Taste is the same. Way too sweet. Tastes like a mouthful of thinned down molasses.

Can-This stout is the most sugary example of the style with vanilla, caramel and medicinal notes.

2.0% black with a thin head, strange but sweet aroma, sweet lemonade and fruit drink taste, very odd.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2011 Can from BP Garage, Elgin.
Appearance Dark brown/black, ruby light though, large frothy tan head that dissipated to thin layer
Aroma Almost nothing - faint malt and sweetness.
Taste Sickly sweet, brown sugar, malt extract, sweeter than Coke (and tastes a lot worse)
Palate Lots of sugar, hint of beer in the finish, Leaves a sickly lingering sweetness in the mouth
Overall Get some water. Add malt extract to darken the liquid. Dissolve as much sugar as your possibly can in it. Thatís Sweetheart Stout. Undrinkable. Drain pour. One of the worst beers Iíve ever had. PS (I tried it later mixed with Tennents Special Ale to make a Black & Tan - 25% stout 75% ale - now itís drinkable)

Bottle from Waitrose. Sweet cough mixture aroma. Almost black colour, good head. Light sickly sweet fruity flavour. Sweet aftertaste. A bit like Vimto without the bite. Not my thing.
