Sweetish nutty caramel taste with dry, caramelly aftertaste. Very harmonic and balanced. Extremely drinkable. Dry, light citrusy edge. (0.5l bottle. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of light fruit, pale malt, biscuits, and spicy floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 26, 2006 Bottle. This brew seemed to fire signals in lots of differing directions - belgian strong, bock, vintage old, etc. Lots of flavorful elements in place achieved with caramel malt, dominant yeast, and balancing hops, not of any particular shade themselves. Certainly not a straightforward ale, with qualities of spice and sour flavor alongside the usual yeasty quality of strong ale. Only so many bottles in production... gunnfryd (3643), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Bottle. (thx to Papsoe). Golden / orange with a white head. Aroma is malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is malt, hop, caramel. Nice carbonation. Nice beer. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Bottle: Deep orangish, quite hazy and thick, moderate off-white head, spotty lacing.   Pale malt aroma, slightly fruity.
Fairly strong malt base, mild hop biterness, fruity, with a hint of Old Nick.   Seriously, this is like Old Nick light.   Getting a
minor wood/oak like flavor.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes like a Barley Wine but not heavy, overly malty, or
alcoholic.   This really is like Old Nick light.   Comes across as a light English Barley Wine.   Thanks for bringing this one
back with you dunkeylips!

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Thanks again! To Ungstrup. Typical an English celebration beer which none of us Englanders have seen is provided by our Danish friend!! A copper coloured beer with a nice balance aroma of hops and malts. The taste has good alcochol levels amongst a nice hoppiness. Drinkable and decent, but I couldn’t help thinking this was attempting to be a Fullers Vintage Ale rip off, which fell rather short. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2006 500ml bottle. Deep and clear amber. Lasting off-white head. Hoppy aroma. Intense and depth flavour of herbs, yeast and dark berries. Full bodied. Some alcohol notes towards the end. More than alright, but somehow a bit out of balance (The Lamb, London 18.09.2006).
