Bursting with taste, Young’s Bitter is an easy to drink, refreshing ale with a fresh, fruity aroma that leaves a long, satisfying bitter finish. It is traditionally brewed to deliver a clean taste and is light and dry in flavour with a subtle taste of hops.
Youngs Bitter is brewed by methods unchanged for generations to modern standards using only the highest quality traditional ingredients.
100% malt brew: Maris Otter and crystal malt with Fuggle and Golding hops.

Bottle: clear gold with an off-white head, some carbonation; earthy aroma; gently bitter with a clean aftertaste. Everything an "ordinary" bitter should be.

A bitter ale that is quite bitter, but still easy to pour down your throat (that is the purpose of bitter ale as far as I know). Nice color. hops are overcome by the bitterness. Probably would have enjoyed beer more if I had it in a better place, but the bar where they had it was not to my liking.

Strong fruity esters are joined with caramel malts and earthy, floral hops in the nose. Clear and lightly hazy deep golden body is topped by a generous off white head that recedes to a lasting cover with nice lacing. Earthy and dry flavour has some residual caramel and plenty of fruity esters. Medium body with fizzy and somewhat short-lived carbonation. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB 15-Jan-07, Bièropholie, Aug-06).

Bottle, 660ml. An amber-coloured pour with a small head. A floral aroma with citrus and honey. A hoppy flavour with hints of honey and a moderate bitter finish with more citrus. Light carbonation. Has everything I look for in a bitter.

3.7%v/v dark brown 66cL bottle. Poured a clear pale gold with frothy cream coloured head. Fresh yeast hops nose. Disappointing one dimensional hop flavour. Neutral mouthfeel.
