Bottle from Ungstrup. Copper, thin off white head. Young’s yeast aroma, some citric hop. Way too fizzy. Some caramel. Not near as good as on draught. Yeasty citrus finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 660ml. An amber-coloured pour with a small head. A floral aroma with citrus and honey. A hoppy flavour with hints of honey and a moderate bitter finish with more citrus. Light carbonation. Has everything I look for in a bitter.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
3.7%v/v dark brown 66cL bottle. Poured a clear pale gold with frothy cream coloured head. Fresh yeast hops nose. Disappointing one dimensional hop flavour. Neutral mouthfeel.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark golden with a small head. Caramel and perhaps a little honey aroma. Caramel and hops flavour with a light, but lingering bitterness. Carbonation is high for the beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Fruity and floral aroma. Orange/golden color, beige head, fair lace. Light sweet, bitter, malty, well hopped, light fruity, floral. Light but better than the alcohol percentage would suggest. Surprisingly nice and refreshing beer. Why does it get such low ratings?

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An easily enough drinkable beer however both aroma and taste (maily caramel malt and simple grassy hops) are just too simple to even classify it as a good session beer.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Smell and initial flavour is a bit sharp and yeasty. With time, it broadens out into a bitterly hopped finish with a decent malt quality. It’s a thirst quencher for chugging back rather than a sipper really, and at that, it’s not too bad. The cloudiness doesn’t help mind.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Looks good: mid amber with a fairly good head. I like the 660ml bottle. Aroma was faint and malty. There was something going on in the taste department apart from a medium bitter finish. Touch of citrus, touch of caramel. Overall it’s a decent run-of-the-mill English bitter.
