Quite pale for a traditional bitter. Not much aroma and a sweet palate with a faint caramel flavour. Used to be a lovely dry beer when brewed at Wandsworth, but now just a run of the mill bitter.

First tasted this in the Ale House, Paisley in July 1991. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear orange amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Dusty floral hops present in the short aroma. Thin creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a digestive biscuit base with citrus marmalade flavour presen tin the mouth. Dusty hop prickle present in the short bitter aftertaste. Finish is malty with a metallic tang in the palate. An ok session bitter but nothing exceptional.
