Cask at Lamb, London. Golden-copper color. Tropical fruits, fruity hops and malt in the aroma, balanced. Very smooth and easily drinkable. Fruity and malty flavor with some caramel notes. Fruity-bitter finish.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hand-pulled half-pint in The Kings Arms, Oxford 23rd Nov 13. Haven’t had this for years and as I was in a Wells/Youngs pub I thought I’d re-visit it along with a Youngs Winter Warmer.
Clear gold, pale gold that is with a thin white head that stayed the distance. The nose is subtle (or weak depending on your view), some mild maltiness and hints of grain with slight floral hops.
Taste wise it is also delicate in flavour, this isn’t a robust Bitter. Malts again lead the way with a mini citrus hop feel underneath which comes to the fore towards the finish giving each sip a dry smack at the end.

Nothing to say which hasn’t already been said. Slightly grainy but clean for the most part. Not bad but nothing to go back too

Cask at Ye Dolphin, Robin Hood’s Bay, September 2013. Clear fizzy golden with white head. Smooth, faint malt aroma and hay. Grainy bitterness, also very mild. A little sting at the finish. Light body, slightly bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A good pint of English bitter. What more do you need? Not quite sure that the move from London to Bedford has improved it though.

This is so light its like drinking a cloud! Love that its on the cask, but its a bit too light for me. Lowwwww alcohol. Bitter to a point that it’s almost sour. Digging the hand pumped action though :)

4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Absolutely gorgeous minerally mouthfeel; it tastes like England, brown sugar, and hard water. Little aroma, low carbonation, lovely clear amber color.

Cask. Meh/decent gold pour with decent white head (I feel like I write that a lot...). Pretty typical bitter... in a good way. Mild hop/malt mix, smooth finish. Clean tasting, very drinkable. No complaints.
