4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2007 Cask (Peterborough Beer Festival). Like the bottle, but so much more in every dimension. Most improved is the mouthfeel - this hugs your whole mouth.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[Cask at the brewery tap, July 2006] A black beer with a small dense brown head. The aroma is sweet and very roasted, combined with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with strong chocolate notes, as well as some roasted malt notes, leading to a dry slightly bitter end. The mouthfeel is smooth. Nice.

Even better than the bottled version. It´s creamier, and with an even fuller taste. In my opion one of the best beers in the world.

Deep brown with long lasting malty head. Toasted, roasted malts and sweet malty sugar. The hops are a small part of the flavour, but there is a butterscotch chewey taste in a beautifully balanced beer, definitely better that the bottled version. A nice stout.

Almost black with light brown head. Aroma and flavor sweet/malty (light chocolate), light bitter/hoppy, long duration. Really a favourite.

Cask : The penerals oak, Holborn. Rich, dark, chocolaty, the chocolate has a very long finnish. Its actually used real chocolate in the brew, cadburys dairy milk I think, hence the colour of the label.

Cask, the cockney pub, Aarhus. More chocolatey than the bottled version imo. Has a pleasent fortified wine sweetness. Very nice.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at Gullivers Pub, Copenhagen.
This is a liquid chocolate bar!!! Totally black body with a very nice creamy beige head! Aroma is quite weak but with obvious chocolate and roasted malt notes! Flavor is rather sweet and extremely massive with a lot of milk chocolate, caramel, roasted malt and burnt almonds. Very soft and smooth.
