I saw this and had to try it. I wasn’t disappointed. From the moment I opened the bottle I smelled the chocolate malt and some other more lingering chocolate notes. The taste was slightly bitter but a good bitter, and one I wanted to keep tasting. I can’t wait to try it again since I bought only one bottle! I half expected ’Guiness meets Hershey’s Special Dark’ but instead got a memorable bitter chocolate experience with only my second stout.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2003 Chocolate and vanilla, sweet and thin, with minimal roast, a bit unexciting, but easy to drink, not complex at all, some nice flavour though.

Quite a bit too thick; even for a stout. Massive head, passable flavor.

I have only had this beer once, but my first impression was great. Excellent taste, and goes down smooth. I am not a fan of stout beers but give me one of these anytime.

Extremely tasty, with nice balance between the chocolatey sweetness and bitterness, flavorful malts. A good dessert treat for a stout drinker. Won’t work well with food, though.

Extremely big long-lasting head. Dark and Chocolaty one of my favorite all-time Stouts. Too bad its only seasonal. A real delight to drink!

An extremely tasty beer, like having a dessert in a bottle. Great after meal drink on a cold night.
