Pours black like oil with creamy tan head. Chocolate, roasted malt, and dark chocolate on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with just a bit of bittersweet cocoa.

Very nice chocolate and coffee aromas. Pours black with tan head. Medium to heavy bitter taste. Full bodied with creamy texture, soft carbonation, and bitter finish. Pretty good, but slightly to bitter for my taste.

Butelka 0.5L.

It was on tap and fairly dark, but not completely black. Aroma was definitively chocolate with other malts. The taste lacked the smooth, creamy texture of other stouts. There was chocolate and roasted malts. It was smooth on the palate. Overall is was okay.

Solid black pour. Caramel head. Smells of great caramel malts. Very thick but light, subtle chocolate middle with bitter coffee finish

Pours a deep brown with red highlights under a small tan head that quickly fades to a circle. Nose is bitter chocolate with some vanilla and coffee and some smoke. Light sweet start but dominated by a medium chocolate bitterness but well balanced with some roast and light herbs. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation. Nice.

Transfer from BA review on 4-22-12 - Poured from nitro can into pint glass Appearance – Pours a light brown color at first with the nitrogen/carbonation bubbles well mixed with the brew. Quickly however there is a cascade of the carbonation upward through the brew, leaving a deep brown nearly black body color with a nice tan head. The head never fades and is persistent throughout the drinking experience. Smell –The smell is of a bitter-sweet chocolate aroma with bits of a milky aroma. Very nice. Taste – Smooth lightly sweetened chocolate meet the tongue. There are light roasty malt flavors and a slight breadiness, but these are very light in comparison to the semi-sweet chocolate. A milky sweetness then comes into play at the middle. These however are lost again to a more dark chocolate flavor which lingers on the tongue at the end and leave a very satisfying cocoa flavor on the tongue Mouthfeel – Creamy and smooth, soothing the mouth with a wonderful silky feel throughout the taste experience. Great for the nice chocolaty flavors. Overall – The nitrogen pour fits this beer perfectly and I would always recommend it over the non-nitro version. Great flavors and smooth body make it a great drinking experience. Delicious and smooth. Wonderful!!

Pours black with one and a half finger of creamy beige head. Very nice aroma with a discreet smell of semi-dark chocolate (40-50% cocoa), roasted malts, some coffee and a slight smoky tone. Medium bodied on the palate, quite dry with a nice, chocolaty finish. No bitterness to speak of.
