Bomber bottle. Chocolate aromas come off the bottle. The taste is very sweet with good chocolate flavoring. Has a medium body with dry finish. Hop presence is is slight.

Nice dark color. Taste chocolatey and roasty. Soft carbonation. Not a personal favorite, but I liked it well enough.

Drank from a bottle. The taste is chocolatey but not too much. Looks really nice too. A very good beer!

Very chocolatey but not overpowering nor sweet. A really nice chocolate flavor. This beer lacks complexity in the nose and palate. It is good for what it is but it leaves me wishing for more. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark, translucent brown color with tan head. Big flavor with notes of molasses . Advertised chocolate malt subtly comes through, very rich. Heavy, not a lot of carbonation, sweet finish.

Pours almost black, shining and dark. Abundant rocky tan head, persistent. High aroma is coffee, a very nice furfural note that reminds of oak-aged red wine; smoke, Maggi sauce, lilac, liquorice, iodine, tobaco, blackcurrant... Creamy and silky. Well balanced, with an elegant finish with hints of chocolate and smoke. Exceptional.

Enjoyed from a poured can. Pour was beautiful rich caramel color, settled a nice black a pencil thick cream color head. Flavor is surprisingly creamy and smooth. Malts, chocolate and a touch of molasses flavor. Good easy to drink stout.

I’m generally a big stout fan, but this one didn’t really work for me. Given that it’s called a "Double Chocolate Stout" I’m almost embarrassed to say this, but it was a tad too chocolatey for me. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad beer: nice color, inviting smell, satisfying palate, I just didn’t really warm up to the taste. Certainly nothing I like pairing with food, it’s almost like dessert in a glass. I might give it another try though, always hard to judge a drink from a single encounter.
