4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
An excellent stout by anyone's standards. Big, malty start to it, with plenty of hops to back it up. This beer is exceptionally
smooth, creamy, and easy to drink. It's absolutely delicious.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
This starts out w/ all the right intentions, but disappoints at the end. It starts w/ a nice chocolate nose, tan head w/ a dark body and some up front chocolate flavor, but finishes a bit thin an watery. The body of this beer is too thin to make it work.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
When you first pour this it looks like a nice mocha...creamy top dark rich coloring. You can smell the coffee and chocolate scents. However you smell those scents more then you can taste them. This is very smooth and creamy but I think it lacks alot of taste. You get the slight hint of chocolate flavorings along with a weak coffee taste. Not bad for something different but I wouldn't rush out for more anytime soon.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured black with a tan lacing head which is now diminished. Aromas of coffee, chocolate (which is almost there due to suggestion) and alcohol with a hint of toffee. The flavor is of coffee, slightly bitter with a dry finish. Not really much of a chocolate flavor for the name.

Deep brown black with a small tan head. Smell sweet malt and carmel. Taste malty and coffee.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Mind you, I looked at the bottom of this and noticed it expired 8 months ago. Rather bitter and unpleasant. Has a nice creamy flavor which i appreciate and is a fabulous looking beer. Probably only rated this low because it's so old.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This beer tastes less like chocolate than its name suggests, but is still very delicious. It has a toasted malt aroma with a hint of coffee, a semi-sweet fudgy full body and a bitter chocolate finish. The colour of the beer is typical of stouts - almost black liqour with a creamy biege head.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A typical stout-apperance.
Aroma from some smoke and maybe soap.
A lot of chocolateflavour and the palate gives you the feeling of that you have been chewing on a newspaper.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Black, with an off-white head. Perfume- and soap-feel in the flavor. Kind of scurty. Clear flavor also of dark chocolate or cacaopowder. Still fresh and watery.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Color is deepest coffee with a generous and rocky mocha head and fine sheet lace---most impressive in the glass...Nose is both roasty and of the advertised chocolate bars---brings a smile...Flavor is a wonderful blend of mildly dry roastiness and smooth bittersweet chocolate with creamy edges. No single dominant sensation here, but the elements meld together seamlessly. Needless to say, the balance is superb. The body is good, but one could imagine this with a bit more weight behind it for what would surely be the ultimate in stoutish luxury...As it is, this is one of the finest available...
