Looks great poured from the can. Mild chocolate aroma. Somewhat thin but still like a lite version of a liquid chocolate bar. Goes great with choco chunk cookies.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In the bottle. Reddish black stout. Brown head. Requisite roasted flavor, with very strong chocholate malt and hoppiness to well-balance the whole shebang. I wish it had the ethanol to mach the big beer mouth feel.

2.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
I have read a lot of great reviews of this beer on this site, and heard much about chocolate stouts from friends. So maybe it was just built up to much for me but I was a bit disappointed by this beer. I bought it in a widget can, and in the glass it looked great with the head rising to the top creating that beautiful marble of foam. My first sip wasnt’ nearly as chocolaty as I expected. I thought maybe it was to cold. I let my beer warm up a bit and only then could I detect a faint aftertaste of chocolate. I am going to look for more chocolate stouts to compare and contrast.

I had this several years ago and I always talk about it. It is soooo tasty. The body was like a guiness, but the chocolate rounds it out a bit more. One of the best I have ever had. Really Good.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can: Poured a dark black beer with a nice foamy head with great retention. Carbonation is very good with a lighter body then expected. Taste is very smooth with some roasted malts and chocolate taste with a light dry finish. This is a very refreshing beer and easily drinkable. I remember having that beer about five years ago from a bottle and the chocolate taste was more pronounced. Overall, this is an easy to drink stout.
