Aroma: Deep rich note that clearly call out raw chocolate or coco Apparence: Did you doubt it was pitch black? No? Good! it is pitch black deep tan head. Taste: dark Chocolate coated rustic bread fading into hops and espresso notes Palate: Perhaps one of the brew’s mos interesting features thick and heavy like cream nice carbonation, I can only describe it as "soft" the way squash soup would be (Note that has nothing to do with flavor) Overall: Keep your damn cake i will take this. Wait no.. a cake made with this and a pint of it as well yes and a chocolate Meringue pie made with this as well!

Enjoyed from a poured can. Pour was beautiful rich caramel color, settled a nice black a pencil thick cream color head. Flavor is surprisingly creamy and smooth. Malts, chocolate and a touch of molasses flavor. Good easy to drink stout.

I’m generally a big stout fan, but this one didn’t really work for me. Given that it’s called a "Double Chocolate Stout" I’m almost embarrassed to say this, but it was a tad too chocolatey for me. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a bad beer: nice color, inviting smell, satisfying palate, I just didn’t really warm up to the taste. Certainly nothing I like pairing with food, it’s almost like dessert in a glass. I might give it another try though, always hard to judge a drink from a single encounter.

Pours black color with thick, creamy brown head. Aroma: coffee, dark chocolate, little sweet fruit like raisins. Taste: dark milk chocolate, coffee, tiramisu like. Medium to low bitterness. Nice one, but needs more body.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2015 6 oz pour from bottle into water glass (best I had access too). Black and opaque. Decent head. Medium body; a little thin. Chocolate taste is heavy. Great stout.

330 mL bottle from beer cartel. Pours near black with creamy head. Aroma of chocolate bread is no surprise. Smooth tasting and it is remarkable that hits of chocolate don’t build up on the palate. Well crafted, dessert in a bottle.
