Dark black. This head. Smells like chocolate. More coffee than chocolate....or maybe itís more of a chocolate nib as opposed to milk chocolate.

Thereís something about this stuff....it smells good, itís awful tasty, but it strikes me as being gimmicky and artificial. It smells and tastes like real chocolate but....it kinda doesnít. Still, itís a decent stout, and itíll in a pinch (ie when itís the most interesting thing on the menu).

Pours a deep brown almost black color, topped with a decent tan colored head. Naturally, chocolate aroma, some notes of coffee and roastiness as well. Somewhat sweet and chocolatey start, roasty bitterness and some coffee notes towards the end. Pretty nice.

Bottle @ home. Pours with a pitch black colour, medium lasting rocky tan head. Aroma is medium malty, with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and roasted malts; slightly hoppy, with notes of herbs; additional slight notes of nuts. Taste is medium sweet, slightly bitter, slightly sour. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation.

On tap at Yard House, Ridge Hill, Yonkers. Nice dark pour in a dark place so I don't really know how it looked. Heavy, dark chocolate in a brown ale without much alcohol burn. Easy to drink, enjoyed 2. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Po nalaniu tworzy się jasno brązowa obfita piana, średnio i drobno pęcherzykowa, z ktůrej kożuszek utrzymuje się do końca. Barwa ciemno brązowa, delikatne mahoniowe refleksy. W aromacie zaskakująco słabo, delikatna czekolada i troszkę kawy, jakaś torfowość. W smaku natomiast znacznie wyraźniej i przyjemniej.

bottled, aroma is indeed chocolate and Iíd say plums. Dark brown, rather not passing the light, nice light-brown head, but disappeared almost completely. taste is nice bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Nice, bitter stout, I was actually expecting itís gonna be worse.

Does not have the chocolate favor of the Samuel Adams boxk but as a stout it was pretty good. Remind me a little bit of Titonka. Not bad, but was hoping for more chocolate flavor. Maybe I got a dud? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer was smooth and the chocolate flavor offsets the bitterness of the stout.
