The aroma is chocolate with a bit of delicious funk. Pours a deep black with a mostly lasting tan head and fine lacing. The taste is chocolate and cocoa, with a nice balanced bitter finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, if you like chocolate you’ve got to love this beer. While not a session beer, this an enjoyable beer to drink periodically and savor.

0,5L bottle, BB 13.11.14. Pours black with tan head. The head stays. Aroma is roast, cocoa powder, and milk chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate, creamy, roast, and slightly fruity. .Finish is creamy, but also long coffee bitterness. Overall: very nice brew.

Nitro tap at The Oak Cafe. Pours pitch black with a medium sized thick creamy head that just sits there. Aromas are dark chocolate, cocoa powder and cream. Tastes like dry dark chocolate and cream. Only a very light sweetness here and a light bitterness in the finish. Full body with a thick, creamy mouthfeel. Very dry finish. Cool beer but I prefer my chocolate stouts to be richer, sweeter, and with more complexity.

This is a rich, dark and luxurious beer. It has a mouth-filling chocolatey taste which, somewhat surprisingly is not at all sweet, just very rich. The head is creamy and tan coloured. Well-balanced and great tasting, this is a brilliant beer for a cold winter's evening.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2014 Great look, looks like a stout shold, pours nice thick, but quick evaoporating head. Dark Caramel in color, Smells of coffee and chocolate (mocha) with a hint of walnut and raisin. Taste almost exactly like the smell, but the chocolate quicky goes away after the first few sips, but does kind of come back at the finish. Overall, not a bad stout, but I’ve had much better. Was one of my favorites at one point, though.

500ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a tanned head. Rich chocolate smell with a hint of coffee. Slight sour taste but finishes with a strong chocolate and roast finish.

Lovely full stout with the chocolate coming through. It lacks a depth of flavour to take it over 4 stars for me though. But still lovely! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nitrocan. Pours thick and black. Small, thick and creamy light tan head. Chocolate and coffe aroma, taste is chocolate sweet and coffe-like bitter. Almost no carb, creamy mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste. NiceFinishes with licqorice...

Pours black. Aroma and taste are dark chocolate, sweet but not too sweet. Very smooth and quite creamy.
