The aroma is chocolate with a bit of delicious funk. Pours a deep black with a mostly lasting tan head and fine lacing. The taste is chocolate and cocoa, with a nice balanced bitter finish. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, if you like chocolate you’ve got to love this beer. While not a session beer, this an enjoyable beer to drink periodically and savor.

The beer that made me love stouts. Pours pitch black with a tan head that disappears relatively quickly. At first when very cold there are aromas of coffee and roasted malts, the magic happens as the beer begins to warm in the hand, with the dark cocoa aromas coming out in full force, almost like a quality dark chocolate bar! The taste is that of espresso with with a wonderful chocolate aftertaste. There is a good balance between bitter and sweet elements, likely the chocolate malts and hops interacting. Feels creamy and velvety in the mouth. Definitely a "rich" tasting beer, I wouldn’t knock back 2 or 3 of these at a time. Excellent beer and should go well with roasted and grilled meats, or as a dessert after dinner!

Bottle from Alko. Pours black with beige head. Aroma and taste have a lot of chocolate, and some cocoa and roasted maltiness. Good beer but kind of disappointing actually. There is just something missing.

Piwo brunatne lekko metne z bezowa niezbyt obfita piana. W aromacie kawa z mlekiem, mleczna czekolada i lekka palonosc.

Black color. Chocolate, cacao and roasted aromas. Sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, a lot of chocolate really. Dry finish.

Zrobiłem porównanie z shakem z podwójną czekoladą i moim zdaniem to piwo bardziej pachnie kawą niż czekoladą.

500 ml bottle. Black pour with muddy mahogany highlights.Small head persists to bottom of glass leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet molasses, roast grains, with mineral/metallic edge. Taste is more molasses, maybe sorghum. I’m not getting much chocolate. Thin, watery though perhaps in keeping with some English pubs. Too sweet, cloying for me.
