Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 11, 2002 A black beer with a beutiful brown head. It has the aroma of smoked malt and tastes of chocolate and smoked malt - a real stout taste. A really good stout. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 26, 2002 Dark brown. Soft maltiness, slightly roasrt, nice strong flavours of dark chocolate. Very tasty!
Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 22, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Dark brown with a gigantic, frothy light-brown head. Soft and delicious without much bitterness really - nor the sharp, ashy stout-edge. Notes of chocolate are there, or perhaps rather cocoa. Very drinkable. I know the label claims that it’s brewed with dark chocolate, but somebody once told me, that it’s actually (Cadbury’s) Milk Chocolate. Does anybody know? 120700 Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 6, 2002 Updated: Feb 15, 2004Extremely dark brown. Moderately brown head of 1cm. Aroma of chocolate, almonds, light coffee. Very artificial chocolate sweetness like Nestle Quik chases away bitter roast barley notes. Cloying finish. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 30, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a diminishing light brown head. Solid chocolate aroma, somewhat like choco powder though. Flavour is medium sweet followed by a slight acidic/roasted chocolate dense note. Light acidic to bitterness in the finish, still swept in chocolate flavours. Nice chocolate brew, although I’ve had better ones before.
