Nice stout, with high chocolate flavor and aroma. Alcohol is subtle. It is an English brewer; let the Irish do the stout! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. dark-chocolate brown with particularly red glints at the edges. thin, light-brown head. Aroma is chocolaty (sweet), with strong dark bread crust and lovely English yeast, including touch of cherry/fruit/pastry. Yum. Body is medium-light-to-light, watery. Flavor of fruity dark chocolate, some bread. Touch of clean grass. Rather clean flavor, less delicious than the aroma. Overall, a very good chocolate stout but lacking in body and, to a lesser extent, flavor. Nonetheless, the beer is in possession of excellent yeast character, particularly in the aroma.

500ml bottle. Pitch black body with a low tan head. Deep chocolate aroma, with some roasted notes. Sweet chocolate flavors with some minerals and roasted notes. Pretty straight forward, but really well made. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle. Pours black and has a beige head. Smells of chocolate, cocoa and malt. Sweet chocolate taste with a cocoa bitter aftertaste. Not a huge flavorful stout. Still very good..

Partial best by date of 2014. Poured from a bottle into a tumbler on 12.26.13. A: Motor oil with a foamy tan head. S: Loads of malty chocolate. T: Chocolate, malt, some smoke in the aftertaste. M: Creamy smooth. Velvety. O: Very balanced. Sweet, but not icky sweet. It has an edge to it that balances out the sweetness.

Very dark brown body with light brown head. Very noticeable coffee in scent, with a hint of alcohol. Taste is rich and very coffee-like with some bitterness and taste of dark chocolate. Feels creamy and thick. Medium carbonation. Recommended!
