Appearance: Opaque, nice espresso brown frothy head, moderately long leasting. Aroma: Believe it or not chocolate. Toasted pumpernickel bread too. Flavour: Vanilla, chocolate, bread pudding with dark chocolate chips. Mild bitterness from hops to balance the malt forward profile. Lovely. Mouthfeel: Not too full bodied considering it’s a stout. Smooth and creamy. Finish is reasonably quick but then about 20 seconds later comes a lovely choccy coffee aftertaste that lingers. Overall: Fantastic stout, suitable for any time of year but most welcome now we’re coming into winter!!

Originally rated on 4/1/08- Youngs Double chocolate stout delivers what it promises. Aroma, flavor and appearance of dark chocolate influence, sweet but not overwhelming, well balanced. Worth a try stout fans.

Aroma sensacional de chocolate. Aparência escura, totalmebte negra. Sabor balanceado entre o chocolate e um gostoso amargor.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass at the "World of Beer" in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance- black as coal with a large tan colored head. Aroma- cocoa up front with a heavy dose of malt. Taste- chocolate and malt dominate, a very nice flavor. Overall, a very enjoyable beer.

Pours so dark no colour gets through with 2 fingers of head and great lacing. Its almost like drinking a smooth chocolate cream pie. One of the greatest.

A very nice stout to taste without moderation. the chocolate taste is thin, with a long finish. A pure pleasure !!
