4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Serving: from (nitro) tap--at Brouwerís Cafe.
Aroma: heavy chocolate aroma.
Appearance: small, creamy, light brown, initial head with mostly lasting longevity and incredible lacing (the entire side of the glass was one continuous sheet of lacing). Black body.
Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and moderately sweet, chocolaty finish with a short duration.
Palate: medium bodied with creamy texture, soft carbonation and lightly alcoholic finish.
Overall: very good. Very smooth with great aroma, finish and palate--but I didnít like the initial acidic flavor.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, black/dark brown opaque, tan head, light lace. chocolate, coffee, caramel, light sweet notes. Good but pretty Mild. Minerally.Good taste of roast, chocolate, light sweet but more of a roast with some acidity. I did a side by side with SS organic chocolate stout which was more intense b ut I prefer this as a less sweet, a bit roastier, with a mild acicidy that is balanced better, but lacking some aroma and a lot lessstronger chocolate intensity/smooth creamyness than SS organic chocolate stout. I did however prefer them mixed together. I would say this one has a more bitter dark chocolate taste as a stout. Yet has the balanced acicity and less sweet/dessertishness to it. Less intense chocolate/aroma taste but still noticeable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle from The Only Cafe. Opaque deep brown/black body with a creamy tan head with solid lacing. Nose is dark chocolate, earthy. Taste is incredibly sessionable and light, but with a great flavour and hop profile. Toffee, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, roasted oats, some caramel. Nice carbonation and bitterness, but it seems like itís missing something I canít quite place.

A little too unbalanced for my taste. However it has a high drinkability and goes down without any problems.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
About time I got round to rating this! From Camberley Tesco Maxi (or whatever they call it) split at JFís 11/09/14.
Black with a well appointed tan covering that dissipates and retains.
Nose is earthy roast, cocoa powder, dark toffee, chocolate oatmeal.
Taste comprises bitter roastings, dark chocolate, dark malt, chocolate biscuit.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy roasty finale.
Ok chocolate stout.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Classic English stout with actual bars of chocolate added as well as chocolate extract... Creamy beige head, very opaquely brown colour near to black. Evident chocolate aroma, cocoa powder, milk chocolate as well as chocolatey malts beautifully blending in. Taste obviously very chocolatey as well, soft and powdery mouthfeel, rich and quite complex with elegant roasted bitterness and dark fruits as well as spicy hoppiness in the finish. Great and a must taste if youíre into stouts.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Sadama turg in Tallinn (around Ä 3), Sept 2014. Pours a nice chestnut colour, appearing black in the glass. A big and creamy, well-retaining head that also laces nicely. Nose is a deep, smoky roastiness - itís got a certain dusty aroma to it that reminds me of freshly cooked chestnuts; itís also got a big deal of sourish bitter chocolate there. Taste is (not overtly) sweet chocolaty malts, itís hintingly bitter with a dry, ashy finish. Taste gets a bit sugary as it warms; whereas the nose acquires a milk chocolate note. Medium body, less than average carbonation, dry and roasty palate and a smooth, thick mouthfeel. I used to love this but now... not too happy with it. Itís still good though, great to replace a dessert with in a cold autumn or winter night.

Dym papierosowy. W smaku wyraźne nuty kawowe, czekoladowe raczej nie. W smaku coraz wyraźniejszy dym papierosowy. Treściwe, palone, kolor czarny, słaba piana, aromat nie przyciągający.
