After you pour this thing, sit back and watch the magic that occurs (you’ll see). This beer is not quite like the milkshake or chocolate milk I have heard it compared to, but I will abmit I very much enjoyed its flavor. Worth trying out.

A little too unbalanced for my taste. However it has a high drinkability and goes down without any problems.

About time I got round to rating this! From Camberley Tesco Maxi (or whatever they call it) split at JF’s 11/09/14. Black with a well appointed tan covering that dissipates and retains. Nose is earthy roast, cocoa powder, dark toffee, chocolate oatmeal. Taste comprises bitter roastings, dark chocolate, dark malt, chocolate biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy roasty finale. Ok chocolate stout.

Classic English stout with actual bars of chocolate added as well as chocolate extract... Creamy beige head, very opaquely brown colour near to black. Evident chocolate aroma, cocoa powder, milk chocolate as well as chocolatey malts beautifully blending in. Taste obviously very chocolatey as well, soft and powdery mouthfeel, rich and quite complex with elegant roasted bitterness and dark fruits as well as spicy hoppiness in the finish. Great and a must taste if you’re into stouts.

Bottle from Sadama turg in Tallinn (around € 3), Sept 2014. Pours a nice chestnut colour, appearing black in the glass. A big and creamy, well-retaining head that also laces nicely. Nose is a deep, smoky roastiness - it’s got a certain dusty aroma to it that reminds me of freshly cooked chestnuts; it’s also got a big deal of sourish bitter chocolate there. Taste is (not overtly) sweet chocolaty malts, it’s hintingly bitter with a dry, ashy finish. Taste gets a bit sugary as it warms; whereas the nose acquires a milk chocolate note. Medium body, less than average carbonation, dry and roasty palate and a smooth, thick mouthfeel. I used to love this but now... not too happy with it. It’s still good though, great to replace a dessert with in a cold autumn or winter night.

For some reason all chocolate stouts taste like burnt coffee to me. It’s good in a pinch but I’m still a Guinness girl.

Really delicous. Almost taste like a cold hot chocalate. Weak on aroma but strong on taste.

Dym papierosowy.

Piłem go bowiem ok. 10 lat temu i wówczas wywarł na mnie spore wrażenie.

A lot of great things about this as a beer. The aroma is brilliant, it sits nicely in the glass, it has bitterness, softness, coffeeness, and a combination of all of those that makes this very very quaffable as a beer. Very smooth. Holds it’s own against many a craft beer of the type

Colorado allmost black. Testes like dark choclate and dark roasted coffee. Smells the same. Palate thick.
