Delicious youngs ale, full of hoppy malts, beautifully created for a delightful all round taste, recommended by the aleman ;)

Golly gumdrops! My first sip of this beer, I have to say, was a disappointment. But by the end I wanted more. A ’cracking’ brew to ’crack’ open, in the bizarre language of beer ’bloggers’. I doubt Lady Crabapple would like this one, but I thought it was a marvellous beer, sharp and light.

Dark gold. A little yeast in the aroma with the old fashioned malt. A pleasant retro touch. Some citrus, some malt, followed by some medium hops. Probably because it was a lovely, golden, warm evening here in the Shire, I particularly relished this beer.

Hazy, dark blond colour. Floral aroma with a honey sweetness. Sharp, refreshing, zesty flavour. Lightly hoppy. Very clean on the palate.

Pale gold. Bit lemon and grass flavours dominate. Very drinkable beer and didn’t taste at all like a bottled beer. I guess being cask conditioned helps but it did taste like a cask beer. Rock n Roll.

Appearance: Golden, tiny amount of off-white head. Hazy. Aroma: Hops and citrus. Honey. Taste: Lots of hops, but not overpowering. Citrus, hint of honey. Nice aftertaste. Info: 500ml bottle, 4/9-2008

Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are biscuit malts, citrus and yeast. Flavours are dry and yeasty with soft lemon. Light sweet grapefruit bitterness. Quite resinous lemon towards the finish. Spritzy on the palate. A good BCA.
