downender (2537), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 23, 2009 Slightly hazy gold, with a moderate white head. A welcome palate cleanser after the disaster that is River Cottage Stinger. Sweet malty aroma with some grassy hops. Easy drinking, with some sweetish malt flavours of summer fruits, grassy hops, a yeasty edge and mildly dry finish. Ok. mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Oct 23, 2009 Hazy, dark blond colour. Floral aroma with a honey sweetness. Sharp, refreshing, zesty flavour. Lightly hoppy. Very clean on the palate.
BarossaLuke (88), Australia Oct 22, 2009 500ml bottle. Very light pale colour with almost no head. Fruity hop aroma and light easy drinking palate. This is the first time I’ve tried this beer and its very different from most bitters I’ve had, almost lager like. I could enjoy this on a hot summers day over most bland aussie mega-lagers. Would drink again. mkel07 (494), Brisbane, Australia Oct 9, 2009 500ml bottle. Golden amber colour with a soft white head and citrus and hop aroma. Full flavoured with a taste of lemon rind coming through. Light in the mouth to start with but develops a bitter finish. DeanF (285), Paris, France Sep 6, 2009 Aroma is noticeable but not easy to identify - hops, breadiness? Slight fermentation in the nose. Looks quite nice however, though a very light colour, but that seems intentional. Taste is again very light - very hoppy, very simple flavour here. Decidedly average. Dragonblaze99 (349), Greater London, England Sep 5, 2009 Sweet malt aroma. Pale amber with little head. Flavour is sweet with grass, bread and a hint of lime. Very sweet for a bitter. Thin body. Finishes bread and yeast. A curious one. Jonte (801), Gothenburg, Sweden Aug 16, 2009 Bottle. Pitchers Pub Västerås. Golden colour with a white head. Fruity, honey, grassy hops, citrus, white bread. Rather sweet, but more dry and bitter towards the finish. wheresthepath (523), Buckinghamshire, England Aug 16, 2009 [500ml bottle shared with Dad - cheers!] Pours gold, slight white head. Pleasant soft fizz. Light malt and grassy flavours with floral hints. Relatively sweet for an English bitter. This is a decent, easy-drinking, refreshing summer picnic or barbecue ale.
