HogcliffeLenny (162), Christchurch, Dorset, England May 8, 2008 Bottle 500ml from Waitrose, Christchurch. A yeasty, slightly citrus aroma greeted me on opening this one. It pours a deep golden colour and just ever so slightly cloudy, with a good white head to it. It was quite lively on the palate, kind of like a fizzy sensation without being fizzy! The label states that it has a “refreshing bite” and I have to say that this is true. gam (1068), brisbane, Australia Aug 17, 2008 Good frothyhead on a misty straw ale, ample carbonation.Aroma lemon.Flavour mild citrus, bitter to my liking, ale has it,s usual ingredients, would be good on tap, goes down well, session ale, smooth light citrus bitter finish. sirPino (855), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Sep 27, 2008 No 586

Bottle brown, 500 ml. Bottle conditioned, occasional, inspired by a hops grown at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. Matured in a bottle for a fresher taste.
Appearance: Pours hazy to cloudy golden/blond body with a very gentle, natural like carbonation and saturation, head is initially medium to small, very quickly becomes small, off white, practically greyish, poor lacing but in fact existing, head is foamy to frothy in its texture.
Aroma: Very fresh, citrusy - hoppy profile with lemon and lime bite and notes of spiced up pineapple, Some notes of ink earthyness, very gentle and hidden malted barley at the background. A bit accidic.
Flavour: Front is flowerz hoppy with a refreshing citrusy notes. At a first sip it feels as being not a Bitter/Premium Bitter. Rather moderate in its body with gentle fresh mashed barley malt background. Gentle saltyness balanced by bitterness on palate. Slight notes of honey, pure cristal malt and caramel malt. Quite decent and noble flavour in the overall impression. Finish duration is moderate.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is dry, carbonation on palate is moderate, finish feel is salty, slightly sour, slightly spicy, moderate astringent.
PJClarke (610), London, Greater London, England Mar 30, 2009 A wee, fizzy straw coloured ale. Light floral aromas with big lemony hits alongside crisp cereal notes. Sweet and crisp wit a light dryness to start. Summery cereals and fresh russet apples in the mouth. Some rhubarb sourness.
A little over-carbonated for my tastes and slightly watery.
It’s pretty tasty, very good for long sunny days. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England Jan 27, 2009 500ml bottle. Lively gold body with suprisingly malty aroma - bit lagery. Sweet but bland with some bitterness to the finish but not enough imho. Eminently forgettable. downender (2538), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 23, 2009 Slightly hazy gold, with a moderate white head. A welcome palate cleanser after the disaster that is River Cottage Stinger. Sweet malty aroma with some grassy hops. Easy drinking, with some sweetish malt flavours of summer fruits, grassy hops, a yeasty edge and mildly dry finish.
