leaparsons (3798), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 17, 2008 Bottle. Golden with a small head. Aromas are biscuit malts, citrus and yeast. Flavours are dry and yeasty with soft lemon. Light sweet grapefruit bitterness. Quite resinous lemon towards the finish. Spritzy on the palate. A good BCA.
cellar (261), Dublin, Ireland Jul 15, 2008 light amber with tiny off white head. Major notes of yeast, some fruit and hint of cardboard, some hops develops in mouth. Sweet flavour with short bitter finish. DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Germany Jul 6, 2008 Hazy in the bottle, so I pretty much tipped the lot in. Wring of dishcloth, proper nettley green hop aroma. Goldings? Mellow wine gum citrus and less of the chlorophyll in the mouth, with buttery dunked Malted Milk and alcohol back-up. Overlaps with the Struise Kloeke Blonde I had last night- that kind of silky lemony hoppage, with a hint of sting. You know what I’m talking about. Decent GA, but I’ve had better pasteurised. scotty (722), Scotland Jul 6, 2008 Good colour, good bead but it doesn’t keep the head which dies very quickly. Light nose, slightly fruity. Thin, lacks much in the way of flavour, fairly bitter but that fades fast. Very disappointing. greenmanalishi (174), Leicestershire, England Jun 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a bright gold with very thin head. Grainy, lemon flavour thins out into a dry and fairly average finish. joe1961_2 (357), camberley, Surrey, England Jun 8, 2008 Bottle conditioned from Sainsbury.
Pours a hazy orange colour with no real head. Has a citrus aroma, the taste is all citrus with a dry finish. Not bad but had a lot better.
