COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - Summer.
First available as Kew Gold, this is more often seen as London Gold.
Inspired by hops grown at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. Kew Gold is light, golden and full-flavoured with a refreshing bite. It is perfect with grilled marinated chicken or pasta. Kew Gold is a 100% malt brew with English Lager malt with Styrian hops. It is an unpasteurised, living beer, matured in the bottle for a fuller, more complex, multi-dimensional, fresher taste. With no artificial carbonation, the only fizz is the natural effervescence created by fermentation. Available in 500ml bottle all year round and as a limited edition cask ale for Summer 2009.

Cask handpull at Hammersmith Ram, Hammersmith. Paleish gold, lasting bubbly white head. It’s decent some good lemon and lime citrus flavours. Lacks a bit of condition, but as a refresher I thought that it was quite good with biting lemon on the finish.

Like a sip of liquid butter beer. It’s damn buttery. Not as bitter as Young’s Bitter but certainly smoother. Also very light, but with a bit more of a finish. Meh.

(On tap) all spina presso il pub ’Inverness’ a Ramera (TV). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beesbeer (349) - WALES - JAN 13, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2013 This is a plain and easy to drink, very, very quaffable session brew. There is a very light flavour of hops with a little bit of lemony lemonade citrus. A beer for the new beer drinker or non-regular beer drinker, or somebody wishing to consume lots on a sunny day!

Cask. Straw ale with a thick white head. Nose is light woody bark. Taste is weak citrus with some light woodiness. Some weak tea notes too. Not great.

Cask on 29th July 2012. Gold with thin lasting white head and full lacing. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Citric in-mouth with nuttiness, berry fruits and biscuit malt. Strawberry note. Fruity end with smoothish creamy mouthfeel.

Cask at the Tin Goose, LHR T1 - 24/08/12. Pours a clear gold with thin white head which retained well resulting in plenty of lacing from top to bottom. Malt, grain, honey and a little citrus hops on the nose. Taste pretty much matches nose with a little grass and the honey still evident in the background. Medium boided, slightly overcarbonated leading to a slight bitter finish. First Youngs beer I’d had in a while and I was surprised - not a bad pint!

Copper colour with a thin white head. Weak aroma. Hints of vinager, could be on its way. Shame.
