2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask (Salisbury Arms, Cambridge) - Just as "gold", no "kew", and no "London". Thought it was less than 4% too.
6 Perfumey like a perfumed soap.
3 Orange, tiny head.
6- Very simple fruity taste. Actually watery too, as if it’s a beer that’s been watered down.
3- Watery palate, carbonation low. Finish just the minerals from the water.
11- Dull and watery. An insult to the Youngs name.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask @ The Globe Leicester. Golden colour, thin white head. It looks the part. Unfortunately it is a bit same old same old golden beer syndrome. Taste is a bit samey- not much of it at first but has a slight grassy character. Boring bland- a beige beer.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask. Pours a rich gold colour with a thin white head. Not much of an aroma, pretty bready. Light to medium body. Really, really dull. Slight bready maltiness but barely anything else.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
August 18, 2013 - handpull cask at Duke on The Green. Nice bright deep gold with a decent creamy beige smooth smallish head. Aroma is mostly dry grass, may a hint of Goldings funk, light sweet grain, don’t detect any alcohol; Taste follows, plenty of dry grass, a little vague fruitiness comes in, but very light and inoffensive, nice balance, leaning toward dry rather than sweet. Light body and astringency, not much carbonation, finishes quickly and leaves a light but definite dry grassy coating on the palate. Decent, borderline boring - but a quaffer.
