A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Bottle: Nearly black with a thick creamy brown head. Aroma is very mild, though pleasant, of roasted malts - chocolate. Taste is nice of coffee & chocolate. Velvet/smooth palate. Low carbonation. So very drinkable!

Nose :Rich yet fairly light aroma , sweet caramel , plenty of malt , sweet brown chocolate with light aromatic hop side.7+
Flavour/Palate : Soft palate, medium full bodied stout. Light creamy milk chocolate but not to sweet . Tasty cake like sides with some mineral footnote. Thinner finish. Overall solid tasty dark ale .

Dark brown headless pour. Mild yeast and alcohol aroma. Fruit, raisin and coffee dominate the beginning although not as intensely as I would have liked. Finish is quickly bitter with a slight seltzer quality. There is a very smooth palate. It is like drinking silk.

This stout poured a black colour with a big beautiful tan head. To the nose there was scents of cocoa and some earthy notes. Not to much scent to this one. First taste was burnt as a stout should be. Very smooth but not complex at all. Nice flavour and mouthfeel. Well rounded finish with a burnt lightly hopped taste.

THOUGHTS: Not like most oatmeal stouts. Not as sweet. Better than guinness, but nothing special and down right bland for an Oatmeal stout. A really nice beer all the same. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a nearly opaque dark brown that was nearly black in the glass with slight red highlights with a large tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was moderate roasted malt and some dark fruit. The initial flavor was light to moderate sweetness, while the finish was moderate to heavy sweetness and light bitterness with a short to average duration. The flavor was mostly roated malt. The full body was creamy and slighlty dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a sort of smokey finish.

Great looking... dark ruby color with a substantial brown head that looks like chocolate milk. Roasted aroma and a great roasted flavor with hints of chocolate and coffee. A very smooth brew. Even though it says it’s retired... it seems to be readily available? Maybe from Wells & Young’s? 1 pt. 0.9 oz. bottle.

This is one of my favourite oatmeal stouts, essentially on par with Samuel Smith’s. I’ve been drinking stouts as long as I’ve been drinking beer (Watney’s cream stout was one of the first beers I drank regularly), but it took me a number of tries to like oatmeal stouts. This one is incredible. It’s dark, opaque, almost black brown with a thick light brown head that lasts long and leaves pretty good lacing. The aroma is of yeast dough, heavy & toasty. The taste is of thick malt, fresh toast, dark chocolate fudge sauce, fading to a mild coffee hint. It is fairly sweet with only the faintest bitterness. The palaet is thick and full. The result: great, full, satisfying flavour and drinkability.

Dark almost black pour. Nice hop zing on first sip. Flavors feature plenty of coffee and chocolate. Nice malty aroma and medium body. Nice beer
