Faint aroma of toasted nuts, roasted malt and cocoa. Semisweet chocolate, coffee caramel and roasted malt flavor all pretty well balanced with a classicly modest fuggles/nutty hop kick. Mouthfeel a bit too thin for a stout and a short, roasty finish. ElBorracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma is suprisingly smokey and tary, I would say almost hickory-like. Taste is rich with roasted barly, and notes of chocolate. Nice hoppy bitterness that never takes over. I’d say this is among the best beers I’ve had so far. Really like it. (Only wish it came in smaller bottles.) Had it by the way to chocolate mousse and the combination was nothing but devine. Unlike some other oatmeal stouts this does not have a chocolate or coffee taste. Explains why they have a double chocolate and this. Veer (355), Landskrona, Sweden
