A beautifully hand crafted beer with an exceptionally smooth palette and a fruity aroma. A dark, ruby-coloured stout, almost black from a distance, with a beautiful creamy head. Fuggles and Goldings hops. 20% Slovenian Goldings added 10 minutes befofe end of boil.

Pours appropriately dark and creamy. Light aroma of grassy hops and dark-roasted, bready malt. Has a drier profile than Sam Smith's oatmeal, less fruity, less complex. Simple and pretty smooth with a mostly burnt toast and bitter hops character. Some sweetness lightly, some tartness, ending nicely bitter.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 500ml. Opaque dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Aromas of caramel, biscuits, spices. Medium to full bodied, moderate to fizzy carbonation. Smooth and creamy. Medium sweet, medium bitter. Roasted and spicy flavors into an astringent finish. Very drinkable and pleasant.

Bottle, 500ml. A dark beer with a red hue and a medium size brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee and oatmeal. Taste is bitter, more than the double chocolate. Acidic finish with a dark chocolate aftertaste (not a very sweet one). Robust bodied with some carbonation. Nice, but I prefer the Double Chocolate.

Bottle, 500 ml, courtesy of JFK10000. Shared with him and Miro. Pours black, creamy beige head. Light roastiness, malt, bit of chocolate. Sweetish with dry finish. Also watery, and bit bland, very simple brew.

Jun ’16. A 0.5 l bottle, as London Stout, 5.2% ABV, same label as the other one listed here at 4.3%, this one doesn’t mention oats except in the ingredients.
It poured a very dark reddish, almost black body with medium sized light brown head. Coffee, rye, strong roasted malt aroma. Flavor was bitterish, lighter roasted, but still coffee-driven with some finer, more creamy coffee, and chicory. Thin but with long coffee bitterish finish. Quite simple but fine. I’m almost sure this is different than the oatmeal stout, this has no characteristics of one.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with pale brown sticky head. Aroma: roasted, chocolate, cold coffee, hay. Taste: sourish, roasted used coffee powder, bitter chocolate, oat. Not bad for a such a low alcohol. Medium body. Bitterish finish.

Bouteille. [notes 2006]

Rated from notes. Pours black from the bottle with a wonderful creamy head that lingers and lingers. Strong chocolate aroma with a hint of fruit liqueur. Taste is rich roasted malt, chocolate, and oatmeal. Very rich and quite sweet, but still balanced enough to drink in relative quantity. Excellent stuff.

Bottle, 0.50l. Pours pitch black with medium soapy light brown head and good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, oats and grass. Taste starts light sweet grainy and coffeeish, follows by bitter chocolate and herbs, maybe some licorice, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Good and smooth...
