3.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Although curiously lacking in aroma - I detected rusty iron and some grassiness, nonetheless, the flavor is rich, malty and has elements of honey and citrus. The color is a beautiful amber, head negligible, carbonation smooth and almost draught-like...nice mouthfeel. The best thing of all though is how this ale fills your mouth with spicy, herbal hoppiness English-style, the hops are present from start to finish but are elegant and well-integrated into the overall character of the beer. Heavy-handed NW U.S. brewers could learn a few things about sublety from this brew, IMHO, at least when they are trying to make an English style ale. Yeast adds a fruitiness and fullness as well. This is a fine English ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Barwa ciemnego złota, klarowne, bujna, drobno pęcherzykowa, ładnie zdobiąca szkło piana. Aromat zbożowy, chlebowy, trochę karmelowy. W smaku ziemiste, słodowe, nawet rześkie, czuć delikatny posmak chmielowy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Grain and sweet bread malts, caramel, generic fruits. Clear, dark gold, medium, frothy, white head. Light sweet. More fruity malts, grain, caramel, soft carbonation, light bitterness coming up, some grass and floral hops. Nice ESA, somewhat one-dimensional, but stunning by Young’s standards. Bottle at The Alexandra, Wimbledon.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle. "Serve at 10-12 degrees Celcius", so I leave it outside on a winter Sydney night and...voila! Nose is peppery sweet malt. Looks amazing, beautiful copper colour with solid white head. Fine and steady carbonation. Mouthfeel is surprisingly light, I expected a fuller body. Taste is clean and bitter. Finishes with caramel, fruit, biscuit, banana, bit of pepper and a late touch of alcohol. Wonderfully balanced beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear, copper coloured body and a creamy tan head. Aroma is slightly malty, some orange zest and spices. Clean, fresh taste, somewhat bitter but it’s pretty easy and doesn’t hit you as hard with pale ales. Ends in a slightly malty finish. Slick mouthfeel, decent body, low carbonatin and very smooth. Quite nice ale overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Bargain Booze, Whitby. Bright golden coloured with no real head. It has a sweet, floral melon, pine, toffee and passion fruit flavour followed by a gentle earthy and smooth caramel finish. Very good.
