The aroma was of a reasonably balanced ale, with no predominance of hops or malt, but no honey. It poured well, giving a reasonable head on top of a bright, amber liquid. I found the flavour to be dominated by a harsh bitterness, like you would get from using one of the mega-alpha varieties, and no honey. Overall, a reasonable ale with slightly harsh bitterness, and no honey.
Did I mention that there appeared to be no Honey???? Just checking.

Bottled. Amber-Orange colour, small head, light-sweet aroma, almost no honey flavor hints of malt and hops. mouthfeel is quite sweet. nothing special.

Bottle@tasting(2001), 50cl. Head: off-white colored. Color: orange. Aroma: honey, hops. Taste: sweet, honey. Palate: smooth, some bitter, light body. Overall: nice.

Bottle- very big honey aromas and flavour characters. A delicious dessert beer.

From December 2006 (BA): This 500ml clear bottle with the funky new label design will be one of the last reviews of this beer from its traditional home in London. I know this is from the original brewery because the label says so and the best by date is 14 June 2007. Brewing stopped a short time ago and moved to Bedford.
This Waggle Dance was consummed on Saturday 16th Dec 2006.
Clear, bright and light copper in colour, with a good white foam head, which stayed the duration of the pint.
The aroma was of coffee and toffee, no honey stuck to my nose.
Funny taste, not unpleasant, but strange, sweetish, but with a hoppy bitterness that leaves a dry taste in your mouth.
I have had it in cask before and enjoyed it more, my wife drinks it on draught, she tried this bottle and prefers the draught version.

Originally rated September 2004. This ale poured a golden-amber colour with a good head, and some lacing. The nose was weak with confusing aromas. Could mostly smell the alcohol. Tasted fruity, but not much on the honey side. Smooth mouthfeel. Good, but deceiving for a brew from Young’s Brewery.

Warning! Early amateur rating! I don’t know about a honey beer - this tastes a lot more like a flat and uninteresting lager.

Amber with white head. Aroma of malt and honey. Flavor is caramel, honey and a hop bitterness.

From old notes. Bottle from Sainsburys. Gold with a white head. Not as much Honey in it as when Vaux used to brew it but that’s not a bad thing. Reasonable hop bitterness to balance but still a silly beer.
