3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Youngs Winter Warmer is a very clear red ale with a small, soft off-white head that leaves nice lacing. The yeast dominates the aroma with crushed stone. The malt is soft and sweet in the nose. The hops are grassy-- maybe minty. It is medium-light and a little rough on the tongue. The flavor is smooth and nutty and a little metallic. Itís mellow. Itís not very stand-out but it would make a good session ale.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an attractive depp mahogany with tan head that dissapates to a thin halo quickly. Nose is faint malt, but not much there. Flavor is pretty bland with a hint of sugar and malt and a stinging fizz. Bitter aftertaste lingers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. Poured a deep reb body with thin head. aroma is light spices, hops, sweet malt, very faint. Flavor is malty, sweet, light hops and I was happy to see the spices low and pleasing. Very drinkable. I really enjoyed this one.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beers like this put me to sleep. Poured an orange color, dull head, but good retention of that thin little thing. Lacing was spotty and weak at best. Aroma was caramel and toffee, some fruity esters. The flavor followed the aroma, but had a hop presence, almost a nutty herbal hoppiness. Winter warmer? Iíd hate to drink their regular version, cuz the spice and alcohol were very uninspiring.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is weak and pale lager like. For the smell that is there - it is malty but weak. Clear light brown in color - some lacing. Flavor is malty sweet - but not in a very good way. Taste just average overall to me. Bland and not exciting or interesting in any way.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark coppery/brown pour but clear with a creamy beige head. Smell is slightly tart and sweet malt, a touch of alcohol and some metal. Decent nose for the style. Taste is pretty thin, metallic and slightly sweet and tart malt with a metallic finish. Nothing special, but drinkable. All in all, not too enjoyable and another average to below average beer...

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a deep redish brown, medium head....retention was very long. Nice malt aroma and seems like a very small amount of "spice" Medium dark malt flavor with obvious use of quality hops. Not bad......Has a slight bitter taste.

Pours a slightly ruby, dark brown color into the glass with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is of slight fruit and malt. Flavor is quite malty... coffee and bittersweet chocolate, a little sugary as well.
