2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 25, 2008
[1174-20080302] 250mL. Flowery hops aroma is mostly mild but later worsens with a lingering sweetness. Clear, medium orange brown body with lots of bubbles throughout and a long-lasting creamy off-white almost pink head. Fruity flowery hops continues in the flavour and finishes sweetly. Medium body. Not horrible but fairly bland.

2008-03-02. If I had known the brewery I might not have ordered this, alas... Golden dark amber body with a modest beige head and attempt at lacing. Aroma of dank yeast and a note of the terrible peanut candy I recall from Halloween as a kid. Hint of dried cat food may just be a subliminal representation of the cat on the label, I do not know for sure. Musty note. Bitter flavour, dilute floral hops, cardboard and caramel malt, light astringency. Average palate. Poor. Bottle at ’t Zweerd, Ypres, Grote Markt

(Bottle) Pours a clear golden amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of nuts, caramel, toasted oats, and light apple. Flavor of toasted malt, oatmeal, nuts, and caramel malt. Seemed like a cross between an altbier and a Belgian amber.
