2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark golden ale with a thin white head. Grassy and peppery aroma, a bit unpleasant. The resinous grass stays in mouth, with a bit of cattiness and light hops. Very thin. Mildly interesting. Bought at Delhaize, Brussels, April 2005.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottled) Slightly hazy reddish amber color with a small, fading head. Toffee-yeasty-caramely-hoppy aroma, something remotely like Orval - although sweeter and not nearly as complex or strong. Bitter, flowery-hoppy, slightly sweet flavor with some toffeeish maltiness. A bit cardboardy and dull, but ok. Light to medium-bodied palate with slightly fizzy-foamy carbonation. The aroma is nice, but there’s not much else going on.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
25 cl bottle, bbe Oct 06. Dark amber (reminds of a dark whisky), clear, some bubbles, weak frothy head. Aroma of a watery pils, some hops, sweetish. Taste: sweetish-neutral, grainy with honeyish notes, light hoppy aftertaste. Medium body, some tickling on the palate, refreshing mouthfeel.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Fruity, cake-like yeast in the aroma. Hazy golden-copper coloured body with low but lasting, creamy, off white head that lasts and laces. Grassy herbal hops overwhelm the somewhat stale malt flavour and cakey yeast. Fair to moderate carbonation doesn’t last and leaves the medium-light body feeling rather watery and still. Bottle sampled at Den Tatorverede Enke in Copenhagen.

On tap at Den Tatorverede Enke during RBESG 05 pub crawl. Orange beer, with a thick, scummy head. Very watery taste, with a bit of cardboard and paper. Very faint wheaty malt aroma. This is not good at all.
