Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy amber with a dense and creamy yellowish head leaving some lacework. Greasy hop aroma blending in with nuts and caramel. Medium body, again caramel, nuts and indeed some slightly perfumy aroma hops, although they don’t come out crisp or fresh. Bitter finish. At least a decent attempt at an IPA. 180313

330 ml bottle. BB 07/2013. From Spain. A big thank you goes to teddybeer.
Dark murky brown colour with a ridiculously huge fluffy tan head. Citrusy and resiny hops, moderate bitterness, grainy malty dryness and bread in the aroma. Nice. The flavour is grapefruity and resiny hops, bitterness and balancing maltiness. Rather balanced and tasty. Strong bitter aftertaste. Quite harsh. But not bad at all.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Amber-colored. Aroma of malt, caramel and mild fruity hops. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, some fruity hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Too malty.

In short: A rich malty copper ale with a lot of grassy hops essence. A good nourishing beer.
How: Bottle 330ml that I thought was fresh, bought in a Spanish beer store but when I opened the bottle I saw it was 4 months after its bottling date :(
The look: Cloudy copper body topped by a large beige head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: The dominantly hoppy nose is uber-resinous, somewhat grassy and with the toasted sweet cereals piercing through. Body is rich, more corpulent than expected from a 6.7% beer, a relaxed carbonation, comfortable big mouthfeel I usually get 9% barley wines. Taste is rich caramel, rich cookies, a ton of hops essence, blood oranges, wet grass. An overall flavor spectrum that is aligned with beers that are often labeled as Red Ales. A bit too heavy for its own good and the soft carbonation didn’t help, still a decent beer. My 500th IPA rating!!! And there’s a thin line between “I’m very proud to have 500 IPA ratings on ratebeer” and “I should talk to my therapist about ratebeer”.
