In short: A sticky resinous rich brown ale, almost a sipper.
How: Bottle at Chimera, Oviedo Spain.
The look: Murky dark mahogany body topped by a beige ring of foam.
In long: Nose is is very richly malted with aroma of toffee, nuts and raisins along with a strong hops essence . Body is very thick (a bit too thick) and with a minimal carbonation that makes it feel even heavier. Taste is very heavy. Rich malts, raisin pie, brownies, juicy resinous hops. Probably quite a bit of sweetness but the monster dry hopping and hops resin completely hide it. Overall a tasty but very sticky beer, a more active carbonation would have helped drinkability a lot, but the bottle I had was a long beer to drink. A beer graciously offered to me by ratebeerian Lowenbrau, thanks David, there are some really nice people on ratebeer, I wish I was one of them.

Black color with large beige head. The aroma is very light, with some cheesy yeast and acidity. Smooth mouthfeel, light carbonation, with some caramel flavor and nice oak trace; the bitterness is relatively low; the final is dry.
It seems a bit off, but it’s pleasant.

Botella. Más Brown es como una porter con intenso cuerpo y notas a chocolate, las levaduras aparecen de fondo combinando se muy bien con la malta con un final seco y cafetoso con dejes dulces. Excelente

Bottle: Thanks to Lowenbrau: Served in a Chouffe glass: Brown pour. Medium sized vast and thicker, slowly changing beige brown foamy head on top of a deep dark brown cored beer with some black ish tints. Aromas of dark fruits like raisin, dried prunes, some figs, malts, malt toast, chalk, some marzepin and herbal toast. Flavours of bitters, chalk, toast, leaves, yeast, crisp, caramel, toffee, slightest hint of liquorice, some rye, hint of honey and autumnal herbs. Aftertaste is bitter, roast, malty, some fruit tints, leaves and porridge. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, good medium body and a creamy texture. Nice brew, good bitter, dark fruity and toasty. Gets better with time. Good.

Almost opaque dark brown colour. Sweet chocolate in aroma. Flavour is mostly of bittersweet dark malts. Some cocoa/chocolate in the taste too. Very smooth and rich.

330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. Some roasty, coffee and dried fruit aromas. Pours dark, hazy, with nice tan head, creamy, lasting, some lacing. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is roasted malt, coffe, cacao, some fruity and spicy, with a dry and fruity aftertaste. Enjoyable. Porter style for me, too much body for a brown ale.

Good color, dark and opaque. Nutty, toasted, aroma. Slightly tart flavor for this style. Excellent full body. Yummy.
