4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The best beer Yuengling has brewed thus far. Aroma of sweet vanilla and hoppiness . Flavors of vanilla and brown sugar, hints of chocolate malt, with nice mild hoppiness. Nice rich reddish copper color (a little darker than the Lager) with a creamy/foamy head. Finishes perfect. Here’s hoping Yuengling decides to make this a year round beer.

Clear brown pour with light tan head. Aroma is lightly toasted malt with a little sweet caramel. Taste follows the nose. Not bad, but not really a favorite.

Dark cloudy pour. Thick off-white head. Taste of sweet and toasted malts, caramel, sugar. Too thin for my liking. Good effort from Yuengling

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 12 oz purchased at Whole Foods. Pours a light brownish purplish clear. Just darker than regular Lager. Not much aroma but a little sweetness. Mouthfeel is light and smooth. Very drinkable. Taste is mildly sweet and fruity. I rather liked this as a cheap easy drinking session beer. Better than Shiner Bock as it has more flavor. Beach anyone?

pour from a 12oz bottle. Dark copper color, off white head that a little more than 1 finger. leaves some lacing. Smell of toasty malt with caramel and some bread. Taste of sweet malt, caramel, with something almost biscuit. Very easy drinking Bock that’s not as BIG as most bocks. Good beer over all!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear dark brew, rather like a cola in color, with off white head. Aroma of caramel malts, toasted malt, astringent hops. Taste follows aroma - a little sweet malt at the start, bready, rather simple but distinct astringent bitterness in the finish. Sometimes I think nostalgic about the bocks of days gone by - Pabst Bock, Miller Bock, Stroh’s Bock... this brew is probably about as close to those as you can get these days and while it is OK, it is not a the brightest star in the brewers firmament.

Just a solid brew from a company I wish was available in Michigan. I have a soft place in my heart for bocks, so this fits right in.

Without a doubt, my absolute favorite beer from the Yuengling line. I had never heard of this before today, saw it at a liquor store and as I'm a Bock fan I figured it was worth a try. Glad i did! Pours a beautiful dark brown and ruby color with good lacing and head. A faint but clean aroma. Nice malty and sweet taste with a clean and noticeably bitter finish, definitely fits the Bock profile even if it's not craft quality. Simple, but satisfying - a "macro-Bock" that punches above its weight. I'm disappointed to read on the packaging that this beer is a limited release, hopefully that means its a seasonal beer, not just a one-time anniversary release from Yuengling.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The cool old school styled label has no other info.
Appearance: In the glass it has a nice reddish brown color with good clarity. A small light tan head settles to a thin ring of slick lacing around the edge of the glass to cap this beer off.
Smell: The nose is light overall and has a modest bready maltiness with light toasted notes, some raw gain and toffee like sweetness. Hops are very distant but seem to add a slight earthy character.
Taste/Palate: The base is malty but a bit thin for the style. There are mild bready and toasted notes with some caramel and toffee like sweetness balanced by light earthy hops. This adds mild bitterness, a touch of acidity and a little dryness to the finish. On the tongue it feels a bit thin for the style and there is plenty of carbonation.
Notes: For me it just misses the mark and my overall feeling is that it’s a very drinkable but average at best Bock.
